A Little About Operation Bows And Heroes Founded by Tink Nathan, the organization's Project Manager, Chief Archery Instructor and documented Archery Hunting Instructor. Operation Bows and Heroes is a non-profit organization, sponsored by Tink Nathan and many other organizations and private citizens. Operation Bow And Heroes extends private two-day invitations to wounded veterans from all branches of the Armed Services and their immediate family members to Tink's Camp Verde Outpost Ranch near Camp Verde, Texas. Tink's ranch is staffed and attended by volunteers from the Calvary Temple Church, near Kerrville Texas. Gourmet meals for breakfast, dinner and supper are provided daily by the volunteer staff. While at the ranch, these heroes and their family are taught archery skills, how to make arrows and outfitted with an individually customized compound bow packages. Crossbow packages are provided for guests that are unable to use compound bows. At the end of the two-day archery session, these items are sent home with the Veteran Heroes. Camp Verde includes an outdoor target range for bow and crossbow users and has lighting for nightime target shooting. There is an air conditioned, 700 square foot, Pro Shop that is equipped for teaching new archers how to make their own arrow and crossbow bolts.
